"In eleven years, we have exported over 1.6 million products, more than 800 containers, and have never had any returns, claims, or recalls."  

    On this day, a reporter was interviewing Huang Lianghai, the chairman of Liancheng County Fenghai Bamboo & Wood Industry Co., Ltd.

    In the Pengkou Industrial Concentration Area of Liancheng County, the factory's slogans such as 'Meticulous, Wholehearted, Careful, Quality Always Satisfying' were particularly prominent. Inside more than 20,000 square meters of standard factory buildings, the raw material area, processing area, inspection area, and display area were all orderly. Workers were busy producing bamboo and wooden products for export to Europe, including pet houses and leisure wooden houses, creating a scene of bustling activity.

    The company was registered in 2009 and is an export enterprise integrating research and development, production, and trade. It has independent foreign trade order capabilities and independent new product development capabilities, specializing in the deep processing and operation of bamboo and wood products. Its products include four major series: wooden pet houses, modern horticulture, children's products, and leisure items, as well as bamboo furniture, kitchenware, travel, and leisure products, mainly exported to 17 countries and regions including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Italy.

    The company adheres to the principle of 'quality first, integrity-based,' and has successively been recognized as a board member unit of the China Wood Structure Industry Alliance, the Bamboo Engineering Materials Branch of the Wood Protection Industry Association, and a leading enterprise of Longyan Science and Technology Small Giant. It has consecutively received the title of 'Contract-abiding and Credit-worthy Enterprise' in Longyan for four times, winning unanimous praise from domestic and international customers with its excellent product quality.

Every step of the production process is closely monitored

    "This is the raw materials warehouse, and every piece of wood has been re-inspected," Huang Lianghai said, pointing to a pile of timber. Any pieces with cracks or deformation were immediately removed. This is the first step in strictly controlling raw materials; a small flaw should never affect the quality of the entire product. In the production and material preparation workshop, employees were precisely cutting timber and finely polishing materials; in the detailed processing workshop, workers were carefully grooving, planing, and drilling holes; in the finished product workshop, teams were anxiously assembling components. The entire production process flowed seamlessly.

    "Every processing step undergoes strict inspection and multiple layers of control," Huang Lianghai explained. Employees enter the site after undergoing strict training in production operations and product quality, receiving education in quality, integrity, and safety, adhering to the policy of prioritizing safety, quality, and honesty. Each batch of products is strictly controlled, leaving no small step unchecked, ensuring product quality meets customers’ satisfaction and expectations.  

R&D personnel independently designed and developed more than 1,000 varieties based on the demands of the European and American markets.

    "All finished products must first be assembled and tested, and can only be packaged for shipment once confirmed to be problem-free," Huang Lianghai said. In the assembly and testing area, two employees were working together to 'install' a small wooden house, ensuring that every plank and every component was correctly assembled and test-fitted. After confirming everything was fine, the wooden house was disassembled for packaging, ensuring product quality stability and preventing any defective products from leaving the factory.

The product sells well in 17 countries and regions in Europe and America.

Integrity and Pragmatism, Innovation and Development

   "We also use the party branch and trade union as platforms to build 'Integrity Fenghai'". In the staff reading room and the party-building room, the company integrates the construction of the integrity system into corporate culture development. The staff reading room has more than 1,000 books of various kinds.     "'Seek truth with integrity, innovate for development', the market is constantly expanding." Speaking about the journey over the past years, Huang Liang pointed out the 'secret to business operations'. He said that once he learned that a customer wanted tens of thousands of items at once with a good price. Given the scale of his company, he could supply it, but if he gave all the goods to this customer, other customers' orders might not be delivered on time. So, he decisively refused. For this reason, in the 11 years since the company was founded, it has ensured quality and maintained a 100% on-time delivery rate.

    "We have developed more than 1,000 products over time." Huang Lianghai led us on a tour of the product display area. In 2017, the company's Phase II project, with an investment of over 10 million yuan, was completed. The company accelerated its transformation and upgrading, producing products such as 'leisure wooden houses' and 'children's wooden houses.' According to market demand, the company continuously increased its investment in technology to ensure that its products are novel, versatile, and well-loved by European consumers. Encouraged by the 'dual carbon goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality' and the national policy to 'accelerate the innovation and high-quality development of the bamboo industry,' the company established a bamboo product R&D team. Following the development direction of 'bamboo replacing wood, bamboo replacing plastic, bamboo replacing steel,' and positioning products in 'home, kitchen, tourism, leisure,' the company leverages abundant bamboo industry resources and sufficient material supply, uses modern CNC equipment and fine processing techniques, and offers personalized customization solutions. It vigorously develops a series of bamboo products, making them higher-quality, finely crafted, and market-oriented, widely targeting both domestic and international markets.  

Each product must be pre-assembled before being disassembled and packaged, which is convenient for long-distance shipping and also ensures quality, guaranteeing zero returns.

   Currently, the company has obtained four major certifications, including 'ISO, FSC, BSCI, and Safety Standardization,' and owns two major brands, 'Fenghai' and 'Peitian Ancient Residence,' with five brands registered abroad, including in Madrid. The company has obtained 130 national patents (12 inventions, 26 designs, and 92 utility models). It has earned honors such as municipal-level Advanced Staff Home, Model for Social Poverty Alleviation, Enterprise with Honesty and Contract Integrity, Leading Small Giant in Science and Technology, and Agricultural Leading Enterprise; provincial-level Model Staff Home, Technology-based Enterprise, Specialized and Innovative Enterprise, Forestry Leading Enterprise, and Industrial Leading Enterprise; and national-level Pilot Enterprise for Intellectual Property Utilization, High-tech Enterprise, China AAA Credit Enterprise, and China Credit Rating AAA level. The company currently employs more than 400 staff, has never delayed workers' wages in the past 11 years, has no bank bad credit records, adheres to lawful operations, pays taxes according to regulations, and has gained a good social reputation.
